Ana is a multi-media journalist with over 10 years of experience reporting domestically and internationally on gender issues related to sexual reproductive health, HIV, and sexual violence. As the Pulitzer Center 2014 Persephone Miel Fellow and grantee, she has reported on labor migration in Europe and the Middle East.

Ana writes a bi-monthly column on gender issues highlighting the  restrictive sexual reproductive health policies that are premised on religion rather than public health. It is one of the few columns in the country that focuses on this issue.

Ana writes, films, produces and edits TV news features on a broad range of topics about the Philippines that include public health, labor, natural disasters and armed conflict.

Prior to becoming a journalist, Ana worked in Marketing Communications in the financial services industry and advertising. Her last post was Assistant Vice President. Ana is based in Manila, Philippines.
